Braveheart Soundtrack

Orsorum

Lifer
I'm just listening to the Braveheart soundtrack, musing about how this is one of the few CD's I've never regretted paying full price for... anyone else enjoy John Williams' music?

Definitely a quality soundtrack. One of the few I enjoy all the songs on. I've also got the 2-disc John Williams Greatest Hits collection. 😀

James Horner composed the music for Braveheart (also did Titanic), not John Williams.

Hehe, you know, I thought that was the correct composer (after I posted JW)... darn.

PG19: should I have doubted your allegiance? 😉

It works wonders in the movie, but as a James Horner soundtrack, it sounds like all of the rest of 'em...

Excuse my ignorance... what other major soundtracks has he done? Which ones are similar?

well said , well said....indeed very fitting to describe the movie and the soundtrack...mel gibson smartly milks every damn emotion out of the audience....great great movie.....it was the summer of 1995 i think my car broke down, me and another couple of friends wanted to go for a movie...we werent really interested in watching braveheart....later we were like " oh what the heck might as well go and watch it when u have nothing else to do". We went for the movie with no expectations really. when we finished watching the movie...we were all stunned in silence like the rest of the movie goers that day....and choked in the throat.....i have never ever cried at the movies....this was as close as i could get to crying...it was a great movie no doubt....i still get gooseflesh and chills down my spine whenever i listen to
