So I bought a Braun 360 electric razor to try out because I read some good reviews on it and wanted to try switching to an electric razor.

The thing barely works at all even after 15 minutes of use? Is there anything special I'm supposed to do that I'm not aware of? Power on, and run over skin... Did nearly nothing, ended up just shaving with a blade like normal.

Anyone have one and wanna give advice or is this just a piece of junk?

Circular pattern.

Also, it'll take a while to get used to it. I stopped using mine because I'm too impatient to adjust.

I have an Activator 8XXX series (basically the same thing) and it takes a while to get used to. Of course you have to dry shave. If your face is at all damp it really is a horrible shave. Completely dry face, shave is fast and close.

No doubt...but I'd rather not tempt fate every morning more so than I already do:eek:

I gave up on my older Norelco rotary. It worked okay on my face but it would leave my neck red and irritated something awful. I've toyed with the idea of trying a foil shaver like a Braun 89xx but I'm afraid it'll have the same problem.

I dont know about that razor persay but your face needs to adjust to an electric first. From what I've seen it takes about a week for you to adjust when going from hand to electric shaving if you shave everyday. Once adjusted you'll get a nice smooth finish if its any good maybe not as good as an old school razor but still smooth.

You must mean the Fusion. Do you have the battery operated model? I was going to give the battery model a try but didn't after seeing a thread on it a while back. The thread gave a consensus that it was no better than the mach 3, which is what I use currently.

I also found the Braun shaver to be a total waste of money, and gave up on it after a week. I returned it.

I use one of the panasonic wet/dry ones combined with a mach 3 turbo to almost eliminate any irritation. If I'm on a daily shave cycle I end up just using the electric. If I let it grow a longer amount of time I go first with the panasonic then clean it up real quick with the Mach. This prevents my neck from getting even more scarred up. Wish I had developed this strategy years ago.

nah just the regular one.....I have thick hair and found the fusion one to be far more forgiving, causing less irritation. the mach3 still gives me the same quality shave though...just takes longer...

mach3 is still price/performance king though:D

<--still has one and uses it if he forget s to buy blades.....
