Brandy(wine) Question

Does anyone know the proper storage and serving temperature for brandy?

Store is cool dry place. Serve at room temp.

As long as it's not cheap brandy, you store and drink at room temp.

You can warm it in a snifter (some use tea candles to slightly warm the brandy) or just hold it in your hands to warm it up.

I've always wanted to try brandy but have never had it. What's a good brand for a nub? I don't wanna spend too much on it, < $10-15 a pint maybe?
