brand new intel SSD x025 80gb Ungodly slow unzip

Just built a new system for a friend using a new intel x-25 80gb drive. Everything installed really fast and performance is snappy...but

I unzipped the Cinebench 11.5 client around 100ish mb and the thing took forever. It was unzipping at about 10mb/sec.

Is that normal?

I have seen it take a while on my intel.

An anti-virus program may have got in your way as well.

nothing was running its a brand new system within the past 20 min.

EDIT:

There are 2 sets of chipset drivers...the intel matrix and the Intel rapid storage technology driver...do i install both?

Did you align the partitions on the SSD?

Intel Rapid Storage Technology is the newer one. It replaces Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
