I just finally watched the rip of the final version off of BBC1, it's an interesting series, though a bit unusual to this American viewer.

Doctor Who was relaunched last Saturday weekend following a 16-year hiatus.

I guess they aren't counting that American television movie of the 90s as Doctor Who then. Fine by me, they turned him into some sort of time-travelling Santa Claus.

Yeah. Also, I didn't think the Doc fit the role very well (oh, and the script sucked).

It only FELT like McCoy was on for 33 seasons b/c of his annoying voice.

Yep! Probably the shortest-lived Doctor :)

Wonder if/where it will be braodcast in the US....
Eddie Izzard as The Doctor could be great or a disaster, but it would at least be enteraining, in a Colin-Baker-trying-to-choke-Perri-to-death way :)

The Dalek episode in this series was a work of art!

It's like what the new BSG is doing to the old one - taking all the good parts, pairing it with competent writers and basically modern effects, and perfecting it!

It was leaked, the first ep was shown before it was aired in the UK. I think we just ran the last episode this past weekend.
