Brand new 24inch iMac 2.6ghz sitting on my desk

So I just bought my brother a imac for payment (he is putting in some tile and flooring for me).

I have to say I am very impressed. This thing is better then my macbook pro and the 24inch screen is huge. However, it is very hard for me to use due to the glossy screen. I would have to rearrange my entire office to reduce glare.

That said, I love this freaking thing, it's a shame to give it up. 1400.00 with my work discount.

Dang, let me know if you need any more housework done 😉

I've heard the glossy screen is bad, but it's really bad enough you have to rearrange your entire office? Shame on you, Apple! 😛

The problem is my desk has windows behind me. The evening sun simply glares out the screen so all I can see is a large yellow ball and my face.

Some people hole up in the mountains meditating 16 hours a day trying to achieve that.

Blinds help, but yeah, that's why I dislike glossy screens too. (My 24" iMac is a white one with a matte screen.)

I've already got two PCs (one dates back to '06), using a 24" monitor on one and a 30" on the other, so an iMac would be sort of redundant. If I get another Mac, it'll probably be a Mini.
