so i definitely need new disc brakes for the front of my I4 Accord. should i just get whatever the factory uses (OEM) or should i get some sort of performance brand and what would you recommend?

and i know how to install the OEM brakes myself. would a performance brand require someone else to install them?

and lastly, since the fronts are getting new brakes, do i need to worry about getting the rears changed even those are fine? since my car doesnt have ABS, the rear brakes are drum based.

A 2000 Accord without ABS? Not 4 wheel disc? Wow... I didn't even know they came that way.

I would stick with OEM. Less chance of a problem.

Since you spelled BRAKE correctly, I'm in a good mood. for you.

OEM is usually best. Less of a chance of them squeaking (which will commonly happen with cheap aftermarket), you know it's the right material, and it's really not that expensive.

It's no problem to change the fronts and not the rears.

Go with aftermarket pads and turn the rotors. Transpose the front tires, while your at it.
