brain supplements

Do some research on piracetam. No idea if it works, but it doesn't look like a total scam like the products that you linked.

I'd be surprised if any of them had any results beyond a placebo effect. Looking at the 2 you linked to, most of the ingredients do have valid mental effects/benefits, but the dosage is too low to do anything. The rest is straight out of a standard multivitamin. Fish Oil alone will probably do more than either.

i tried brainquicken and i had really, really good experiences with it. i used it before exams in college and law school and it very well could have been a placebo effect, but i swear it made my mind super clear and my thinking razor sharp. the best way i can describe it is to just say it put me in the zone. if it actually does work, its probably nothing other than the massive dose of b-12 which could probably jump-start a corpse back to life.

Interesting... I did notice that brainquicken is loaded with caffeine, which i want to stay from ...

where in the ingredients do you see caffeine? i didnt think it had any caffeine at all...

Do you see where it says "Paulinia Cupana" that is the botanical name for guarana aka caffiene. Kind of deceptive, lol.

Acetyl L-Carnitine
and
Taurine

They both affect your brain, but I'm not sure how noticeable it would be for a healthy person. I'm a special case as I hardly sleep at all, so I notice a definite effect after gulping one. Not so much in thought processes, but it attenuates the soreness in my brain.
One supplement is 1000mg. I think it's the carnitine (from GNC). The other is 500mg.

got it. i never really bothered to read the ingredients when i used it. anyways, its probably just the b12 and caffeine then. i never drink coffee or soda with caffeine, so maybe my body was just not used to it...if the effect i noticed was from caffeine, its no wonder people become dependent on the stuff!

yeah, thats why im leaning towards focus fast. dont need any caffeine on my end.

The old formula Actifed (pseuophedrine + tripolidine hcl) used to make me smarter, in that I had a much greater ability to focus on whatever it was that I was working on.

why do you want to take a brain supplement?

Mainly to help with my memory and focus - especially my short term memory lol

Well, how old are you and do certain diseases run in your family?

I'm 25, and no diseases as far as I know...

piracetam - my brother tried that and he said he had some nasty migrains from it...

I can confirm that. I think it caused the headache I have now.
I am extremely focused though.

A headache with being focused? Isn't that a paradox? lol
