This is old stuff from high school, but I cannot for the life of me remember how to do it.

How would i solve the following using factoring:

6x^3 - 54x = 0

Any help would be appreciated, let's avoid the flaming if at all possible.

-Thanks in Advance AT,

Brian

Look at it this way, theres an x and a multiple of 6 as a part of both of them.

So... 6x(x^2 - 9) = 0

6x = 0
x = 0

x^2-9 = 0
x^2 = 9
x = +/- 3

Then check to make sure each solution works.

6x(x^2-9)=0
6x(x-3)(x+3)=0

Hell I dont' know, been too long

so my answers would be x=3 x=-3, and x=0?
