Onlive is having their Friday 5$ deals all week. They are ending 5$ fridays and this week is their last hurrah. If you have the playpack you get like 30% off that, hence the $3.50.
Today's game is Braid.

First time I've gone to OnLive: registered and found how to get free test play, but can't figure out how to purchase the product! What I'd expect to be payment/shopcart links ain't. 'Guess that's the gods way of saving my $. :)

It's annoying, you have to bring it up in the app then buy it from my experience.

No, you click on the game page. You don't have to buy it. They should have a button at the top right for 'Get Game', usually next to 'Try Game', or something like that. The next page it shows the amount and such and you have to enter your password. That's it.

Do they use DRM on top of the game's DRM as well ?

Considering that you don't actually buy ANYTHING other than the ability to play the game through their cloud service, no, there's no drm you have to worry about. :)

Yup, the "DRM" is not owning anything at all. :(

Ya. Better be careful that you don't own that $3.50 single player AC2 game.

You are guaranteed to 'own' it for a series of years or if until the company goes #poof#.

You're fine.

Whoops, I thought onlive was like steam or d2d.

Similar except the games are streamed like video (ie: Netflix).
Definitely not for everyone. It is free to try. You can try any game in the library for free also.

VERY! Onlive often has crazy good deals but I'm not always near my computer. You CAN'T buy the game unless you are in the Onlive app! That is insane! That doesn't even include the onlive viewer on the ipad either! They really need web page based purchasing for those of us that may be at work or on vacation with no/limited internet.
