One of my sisters is Joanna Pruess, a well known food author. Just wanted to share her appearance on the CBS show, "Chef On A Shoestring" from a couple of weeks ago. :)

Linkage

She comes up with some unusual recipes. Her new cookbook is called "Seduced By Bacon," and she includes a recipe for bacon icecream with pecan and brown sugar.

Yeah, I just turned 65. The good news is, I've got my 15 year old hairline, and it's still long and curly rock 'n' roll length, and I've never put on a "middle age spread." I'll worry about that when I reach middle age.

She's married to a CBS food commenator, Robert Lape, and dinner at their house is always tres kewl.

I'm still singing and playing. I posted this a couple of months ago, but if you want to hear me singing and playing a tune I wrote, :music: click this link :music:, and click the tune, WhosWatching.mp3.

No flames, please. If you don't like the tune or my politics, you don't have to listen.

Peace out. :)

You're no Morrissey, but not bad for an old man!

Your voice sounds much younger than 65.

Thanks. It's a good thing I'm no Morrissey. He's already got that gig covered. It's the voice I've got, I'm doing the best I can with it, and I'm happy with the results of this one.

I didn't have time to get a lead guitar or harmony vocalss on the track before the election. I may go back and add more, later.

No flame taken. Randy Newman's a hell of a talent. His voice is extremely expressive, and it makes him a good story teller in his tunes.

I don't think I sound like him, but others hear similarities to other singers in it.

About as proud as can be, and as proud as I am of my other three sisters. :D

Joanna's twin, Judith Epstein is an appelate court judge on a special court that deals with cases involving charges against judges and attorneys. Before she became a judge, she spent a good deal of her legal career litigating for news organizations in First Amendment issues.

My middle sister, Bobbie Greenfield owns an art gallery in Santa Monica, Ca.

My youngest sister, Lois Orfuss owns a specialty catering business that orchestrates big parties such as weddings, etc., including creating custom invitations and everything else that goes with it. Sorry. No link for her.

First, you'd have to deal with her husband and her adult kids.

So, basically Harvey, you're admitting that you're the underachiever in your family, what with only having performed live @ the Hollywood Bowl, and your songs and several important electronics patents to your name. ;)

Thanks for the boost, Perk. :)

I never performed at the Hollywood Bowl. I did perform with my singing partner at the time at the Hollywood Palladium when McGovern won the California primary in '72. We had performed at various college campus rallies, warming up crowds for their speakers so we were invited to perform at the victory celebration.

... for all the good that did. In the end, we got more of Nixon. Fortunately, his "four more years" were cut short by the investigation into Watergate. :p

Now, it's time to do the same kind of cutting for the current Criminal In Chief.

And my patent count is two.

I've done more. Perknose was close. As I said, only two patents, and I'm pretty proud of some of the successful products I've designed. :)

Nope, but her husband's also a food commentator on CBS. Dinner at their house is always interesting, to say the least.
