I bought the Toshiba 12x DVDrom 3 days ago for $56 shipped

Just ordered Boston Acoustics BA4800 5-piece Surround System for $137 shipped (Amazon.com)

and I bought Santa Cruz for $60 about 3 weeks ago..

Tell me you're jealous TELL ME!!!

Total: $253... (The day CC bill arrives.. the day I'll be dead)

do some research and you'll find out why. (16x has this bug where it rips @ 1x.. and others)

I purposely avoided 16x.. it was only $4 more

And you don't have my speakers or Soundcard

Yea everyone and every reviews praise that system very highly.

It'll be shipped around Wednesday so I don't know how it sounds yet.

I know it'll be so much better than my Labtec 3 piece (although it is good respectively)

I can't wait til I experience the true dolby surround with those 5 speakers.. finally getting out of Stereo..

Also, it really pisses me off when informed people spend $150++ on those lame Creative Speaker Systems.. they suck! they SERIOUSLY need to update their sats..

I know BA4800's gonna be the best $136 I've ever spent!

Exactly how is a 16x drive any faster than a 12x drive, anyway? They play the DVD's and CD's at the same speed, right?

The 16x is a 48x CDROM, and the 12x is a 40x CDROM.

But the 12x is better at DAE, and the 12x has better seek times for some reason.

Ive got the ba4800s and yes they do rock. They were so cheap I was thinking about buying another set for an 8.2 system. All that and still costs less than one set of klipschs! Cool beans..
