Bought a couple of the Language Now! packages with rebates last year. Called last night and was passed through three levels of toll free phone numbers before getting this guy who said "yes I know it says to allow 8 to 10 weeks for the rebate but it is more like 26 weeks, the people from last August are now getting their rebates."
Phone number that was finally answered was 800-215-1835.
 
Beware of I/O Magic (I think they are in some way connected with Hi-Val)

I bought the I/O Magic 40X CD at Circuit on 1-14-01 $39.99 w/$30 rebate

I mailed the rebate on 1-15-01 (absolutely no doubt about this)

Got a letter yesterday saying I didnt send it in within 10 days.

Hope Circuit City will still take it back !!!!!!!!!!!!

To all the jerks who jump on people's hot deals and say "check Pricewatch first." This isn't a bad idea as far as it goes, but keep in mind many of the best deals on Pricewatch charge ridiculous shipping charges. Some these so called deals requiring phoning the deal in, not pointing and clicking on the Internet. So just finding a cheap price on Pricewatch, doesn't mean you can order it and get it delivered that cheap.
 
SimMike is right about pricewatch. Most (if not all) of the low price leaders will goudge on S&H. Simply because they listed the item at cost or maybe 1%ish margin. You can do better at a computer show if your buying lots of items.

Hey psu...dont let these crabby wanna-be mods bug you. They dont get out much is my guess. Probably not the only thing they dont get much of.😉
