pretty cool guy, and he barely ages, I still remember his show decades ago and he still looks the same. anyway, high end chefs have some pretty big egos. I met Mr. Yan along with some other top-rank chefs from China in an event and it was a narcissist-orgy. They are not assholically cocky, its just that I felt most high-end chef has some pretty high-end ego.

no, that IS the way he speaks... it is kinda interesting because he does speak perfect english with a fobbish accent.

and we spoke Cantonese with each other. :)

I met and spoke with Ming Tsao (not sure of his last name).

he seems to be a pretty cool guy. one thing I noticed that he has so much scar on his face!!! must wear bunch of make up when he does shows.

Also saw Rachel from $40 a day show.. she is as hot as she appears on TV. Not super sexy hot, but something like glowing healthy type of hot :)

meh.

Shoulda told him his rice cooker sucks. We tossed it after a few months because it was messing up the rice.

Hehe, me too. I was barely a teen when I watched his show back in the 80's. Very entertaining.
