I actually toss it into my backpack, dunno bout any 20$ shield. In any case, id rather be safe than sorry.

I think I heard this on 20/20 or one of those other shows. I can't remember what the reasoning was but I want to say that it had something to do with how compacted the breasts were while wearing a bra which led to poor blood flow (don't quote me on that though).

As a side note, did you know that guys can get breast cancer too? Needless to say I stopped wearing my bra and went topless after I heard that.

You probably have a greater chance of getting hit by a bus than getting cancer from a cell phone. So, I really don't worry about it.

I can't do that, I like the support my bra gives me.

😀

I know, once you get used to that kind of support it's hard to just stop cold turkey, but we can't exactly sacrifice our health for fashion now, can we?

Cancer is caused by uncontrolled mutation and reproduction of altered cells in the body. At any given time, we all have cancerous cells in our body. It doesn't become a problem until it spreads faster than the immune system can handle.

Any distortion of the body is going to kills some cells. The body has to then rebuild these cells. This happens anytime we get bruised or cut. It also happens on a lesser scale anytime skin is stretched and stressed.

Most women wear bras that alter the shape of the breasts (such as push-up bras). Overtime, this will cause the body to have to replace those cells more often than 'normal'. More replacements gives more chances for mutation/cancer.

So, in that respect, bras can lead to a greater risk of cancer, but the greater risk is probably still pretty low.
