My BP6 with RU bios only detects 128 MB of a 256 MB stick. It is PC100 Cas2 256 MB. Works fine on another board (ALI Board) Bios only sees 128. Any Ideas...

Did you try moving the RAM to another slot? Is it coupled with any other RAM?

From the information it doesn't appear to be a high density DIMM, but this DIMM appears to be single sided.

You need a double sided DIMM if you want to use a 256MB stick on a BX chipset based board.

Sorry...I wasn't being very clear.

You need a 16x(16x8) type DIMM. You need 8 chips on each side, for a total of 16 chips.

The BX chipset can handle a maximum chip density of 128mbit.....16x8 = 128mbit. You cannot use 32x4 type 128mbit chips though.

The DIMM you have uses 256mbit chips....32x8.
