My wife runs two of my kids over to her parents house so they can spend the night before the go back to school on the 5th. she comes back and here is how our conversation went

me; sitting in my recliner watching a re-run of SG-1

wife: comes in and puts her purse away and comes back and says "boy dad is really pissed at mom
tonight"

me; What did she do now?

wife: "She has been mad at dad all day so she went down and bought a new treadmill"

me; "why there was nothing wrong with the one she has"

wife: "well she went to use it today and it didnt work, so since she was pissed at dad she went down a bought a new one"

me: "dumb ass, how much did she spend? they are around 800 bucks. (her dad retired last year and they are living on $1,300 a month on social security)

wife; "try $3,000"

me: :shocked: Has she completly lost her mind?? she just spent nearly 3 months of pay on something she doesnt need"

wife: "well dad looked at the treadmill she has and it wasnt plugged in. Mom said she unplugged it because the motor was going to go out any second"

me: :Q:shocked::Q "will your dad take it back?"

wife: "No, mom said its going to stay so it will"


Words can not even express the discust I have for that woman right now...

My wife sees how her mom is, if Mom doesnt get her way she fricken goes off the deep end. We both truly believe she has a mental disorder and we are leaning towards her being bi-polar. My wife would never disrespect or marriage or me by going behind my back and spending $3,000 on something, especially out of spite.
 
You might need to arrange some medical tests. Behaviour like that can be a symptom of a much more serious biological condition.

It would never happen. If my wife or her sisters even brought it up it would create a huge mess. Ill just wait unil she is certifiable then just commit her ass. 😉

This makes me feel slightly vindicated that I once didn't date a perfectly nice girl because I thought her mother was crazy.

I'd handcuff her to the treadmill, hook a generator up to it.

Oh don't worry I'd bring her food and water once in a while.

When she has generated $3000 worth of electriicity, or gives in to take the treadmill back and get a full refund, we will be even.
