what kinda side effect would i be suffering from if this hamburger did go bad? anyone know? barfing? the runs?
 
all of the above I'm guessing.

Did you smell the hamburger before you ate it? Usually bad hamburger smells terrible and looks a dark red color (before it's cooked 😛).
 
Um, are you serious or just neffing? e coli is some pretty serious stuff. If you think you've eaten bad hamburger, you call a doctor, a hospital, or poison control. They will pump your stomach, culture the meat (remember to save a sample from the uneaten portion of the burger), and start you on a course of anti-botics.

I'm deadly serious. I watched a show on a kid who almost died from e coli poisoning.

I remember that show, or something similar to it. The kid went camping and later that night he almost died from that damned hamburger :Q It wasn't cooked enough so the e coli wasn't killed.
IIRC the e coli started eating away at his stomach liner and ate a hole all the way through his stomach. :Q:Q

Yeah, you get e coli from uncooked beef. Not sure what you get from bad food...most likely the runs, upset stomach, vomitting and maybe impotence.

Adults generally have less trouble with E Coli however it's still a major thing just much less of a chance of dying being an adult..
