I def would NOT have told the authorities, moved to a new place, kept the money hidden somewhere in the new house, and buy a few things for myself. Or, just hit a casino with 90 large, gamble a little bit and cash out = laundered money :p

90k is enough to make you move?

I'd only move for say 500k or greater...

I would definitely return the money, no question. Has anyone ever seen the movie Millions? For some reason this story makes me think of it. Millions - link

I would do the Casino laundering technique and spend it most likely. Although, there is some risk involved and I am not talking about the law. If the sender happens to be some dangerous criminal who realized that he sent the money, then that means he has your address and could come after you :(

Lots of places take cash, no questions asked. Putting money into a bank like that is asking to be caught.

Okay lets try scenario 2 then

You launder the money, then one night a few months later you are lying asleep in bed when three guys break into your bedroom, and threaten to kill you until you give them the money. You tell them what you did. They kill you.

"I can't believe what a bunch of nerds we are. We're looking up "money laundering" in a dictionary."

XD exactly what I thought of

Until then, the Police, with the cooperation of eBay, will keep looking for the owner.
