Great video interview with RIM product lead on the PlayBook. The interview is very comprehensive and this device is used throughout to show the interviewer how things are done and how they work. The most interesting was the news that ALL the bezels can be used for action gestures, and can be addressed by developers for app custom actions.

Also they go through the multitasking in quite a lot of detail, again showing the device playing 1080p video while doing other tasks.

In other news, it's rumoured the unit is using the Ti OMAP 4430 SoC.

The demo looks good. The music and movie interfaces look really nice - I might attempt to argue that they are better than the ones on the iPad, or at least as good as. I like pinch-to-zoom and other gesture-based inputs. I like the front-facing camera - at least in concept (by which I mean, I've never made a video phone call personally). Overall it looks nice. It lagged a bit in spots - like when he touched the photo icon there was a noticeable two-beat pause before it became smooth again, and it happened in a couple of other cases too, but it is pre-production.

Is there a full list of specs somewhere? (weight, size, battery, etc.?) Does it have an SD card slot - I didn't see it in the video (but I had the video muted because I'm at work). Does anyone know the projected release date?

Looks quite nice (I like black) and user-friendly to me. In fact, a lot of the actions remind me of Web OS on my Palm Pre. Have a feeling the learning curve won't be very steep. The multitasking looks good and quick response too. All four bezels are touch-sensitive. I can see this used in a working environment as the size makes it very portable.

Can be paired with one's Blackberry phone. That's significant for business. I think companies (those who are already using Blackberry products, of course, and others too) will be very pleased with this offering and adopt it instead of the Ipad, depending on pricing of course..

This looks very promising. I'm really interested how this tablet handles web browsing.
