I don't think theres a damn printer out there yet that actually comes with Vista drivers. I work for the geek squad. We just burn (at least in my store) the customer a driver disc to avoid situations like yours. Trend Micro 2007 line was also ON THE BOX advertised as vista compatible, but you still had to go online and download a vista capable version. We finally got true vista capable discs after a month.

Future shop ripped people off in the USA, when they were here. Then just like that, they were gone.

However, if you consider a missing driver, which is downloadable, being ripped off, you have lots to learn about life. This will be kindergarten stuff, if you ever really get ripped off.

wow. typically, idiots blame MS for not having a driver for a piece of equipment, but this thread takes it to the next level.

What?

Well, she wont be online until the Rogers man comes over saturday.

Then you may want to change your thread title instead of slandering a company that did nothing wrong.

Why the hell would they bundle a Vista laptop and printer and not include Vista driver for the printer.

Because maybe that printer was shipped before the driver was available? Some newer boxes probably have the new CD, it is available online anyhow.

They're all best buys now.

No they aren't.

FS may be owned by Beast Buy, but the two are run as relatively separate entities.

Also, OP, 90% of peripherals out there right now will be coming w/ XP drivers CDs till all new stock has arrived.

Does that mean you can't run them w/ Vista?
No.

It means you simply need to download the latest driver from the manufacturers' sites...omg impossible i know
Or in the case you cannot use teh internets, then ask the sales person/tech at FS to dl the drivers & put them on a disc for you.

Or plug the device in and watch as Vista magically makes it work without blinking with a WU download.

Very true for a lot of devices, since Vista has a huge amount of built in drivers 🙂

how is this future shops fault again?

they shouldn't bundle products together that are incompatible.

i'm still confused how this is FS's fault. they do not write drivers etc.

i would think its more HP or toshibas

how? we are assuming future shop does the bundle. you would not sell a car and bundle winter tires with it that didn't fit.

has to be a 10 year old
