Boy do i feel stupid for asking this...

Confused

...but how do i get the Linux SB client to actually start running from Knoppix?

The floppy controller on my 8RDA+ has gone, and I screwed Windows up, and can't reinstall as I can't install the driver for my Raid card :|

So, I remembered that I had a Knoppix CD around, so thought i'd try that, so that I don't lose too much SB production. I have downloaded and untarred the files to /home/Knoppix/desktop/SoB but can't get the sb executable to run.

Thanks

Garry

you have to run it ./sb sbclient.cnf or something, where sbclient is the config file there.

Remember to setup the config file..

Unless you put your SoB directory at the front of your PATH env. var, then yeah, ./sb has to be done, otherwise you end up with the system sb command, which is some kind of send (binary?) file command.

OK, thanks, finally got it figured out 🙂 Opened up a shell console, and typed ./sb sclient.conf 🙂

Thanks guys 🙂

Don't feel bad....that got me too before, and it's a major "gotcha" for SoB Linux crunchers in the whole universe 😉
