In a way that would be pretty shitty for courts to force on the parents of a boy who had his youthful immaturity and perhaps curiosity exploited by an adult, he could be viewed easily as a victim. Then again if the situation was an adult talking this boy into breaking out car windows or whatever then the view by many people would likely differ and I suppose that's kinda hypocritical. Also if this happened in Cali with a 27 yr old man and an 11 yr old girl, people would be wanting to kill him.
Funny how some things are more ok than others and how the laws play into that depending where you are.

The boy and his parents should be excused forever from paying child support. Yes, they should get off scot free on this one.

The boy should just be able to go back to living his life as a 12 year old.

Optionally the woman can be charged with sexual violation or some other crime in connection with this. She could then be sentenced to serve several years, perhaps with the sentence suspended so long as she provides or arranged support and care for the child through age 18.

No, you were actually correct. Judges very often order these children to pay child support, even in cases were the child was forcibly raped. The law says it does not mater how the child was conceived.

I wonder if they wouldn't just take the child away from the mother, and put it in foster care. It is clear she is not fit to be raising a child if she is sleeping with them. Not to mention if she gets prison time.

We (United States of America-ns) got too many bad judges around here. Really they should be setting an example for female rapists -- "The child she bears should be solely hers."

While they (New Zealanders) are mulling over extending the definition of rape to females, they should certainly be able to legislate exemption from child support for just this specific boy.

Maybe it is time for the boy and his family to flee the country and seek asylum, like draft dodgers did back in the 1960's.

That 36 year old pedophile's behavior was disgusting and unacceptable. Couldn't she find men to be with (or none would touch her)? So she had to prey on an innocent child?

*well in this case a 12 year old boy. But I guess 12 year old boys should be held to a higher standard than adult women. So much for girls maturing faster than boys.
