Would like to hear some comments from those who own a boxee box and how they like it?

Right now I have a 360, and a WDTV Live. I am thinking of getting either hulu plus for 360, or buying a boxee box to make it easier to stream music / video from my pc, and listen to music on my tv/stereo.
I know the WDTV Live is slow, and seems support and updates lack. So when I use netflix, I use it through the 360. But thinking the Boxee Box may be superior.

I like it. But it depends on what your goal is. WDTV Live plays everything, but it's a little boring, and ugly (relies on your own JPGs for movie thumbnails). And typing (for searching and Youtube, etc) is super tedious.

Boxee pulls all metadata (title, director, actors, rating, run time, series, etc) automatically from the web. Plus its much easier to type on the full keyboard on the remote. Still needs easier interface to play music from your own collection (no separate music section, like they have for TV shows, movies, etc). You have to manually browse in the Files section.

You're basically paying more for the polish.

For online streaming it is the best media player to get in the market right now. It is good for local streaming too and it uses meta data to look for cover art for your media files...

The short time I had it these were my only negative experience when I owned it back in December:

Some online content such as HULU is blocked.

The Boxee Box by D-Link requires you to create as user login profile to use it... everytime you want to use the Boxee Box it will require this login which sends information regarding your viewing habits to their servers for possible future marketing purposes.

Blu-Ray ISO and other large media files 20GB+ or larger the Boxee Box had difficulty streaming with some buffering/stuttering and sometimes locking up. - Something that even a WDTV Live can handle easily with no issues.

HD Audio Dropouts - if you are an Audiophile this may bother you because it occurs enough to be annoying during a two hour movie. They have not fixed issues regarding Dolby True HD and DTS-MA 7.1 Channels...(Correct me if I am wrong).

Most of these issues may have been fixed or should be fixed soon - because they have very devoted community to make happy... so far they have been good at fixing bugs...
