Update: Read my thread about #10.

Cnetpc has them for $127-$1=$126 for those who don't plan to overclock or building for someone else. Shipping is steep but I think it's still a warm deal.

not too bad 138 for the retail 1.2 266 is pretty good!

newegg has the oem for 121 shipped! 17dollars for 3three year and hsf. not sure if it is worth it after all.

dont't hold me to this but I believe Axia's are a heck of a lot easier to overclock

If I am wrong someone please correct me.

Well, in any case it wouldn't matter. Anyone buying a retail processor, is most likely not looking to overclock it, because you are paying for a warranty you are going to void, and a HS/Fan you aren't going to use....

Very nice bargain on a boxed cpu serialb :)

The boxed retail versions of the AMD processors will drop again with the next round of price cuts currently slated ~15-20 Jul.

I just picked up a 1.2GHz AXIA OEM chip - cost a bit more than the Pricewatch pricing, but worth it IMO. It's running at 1.4GHz. Yes, a modest overclock, but my intent was for a quiet system. NO DELTA FANS needed!!! Also, it is running at 1.675 volts. Yes, lower voltage than default!!! (though I may have to bump it back up a bit to be stable) It will POST at 1533GHz.

Update on this chip

This is an AXIA-9 chip. I tried 9x150 and it doing well. Haven't tried any higher though since, you know, HSF is installed.

BTW, Cnetpc shipped real fast. Ordered Thursday and received it on Tuesday. But wait, LOL at their lost customer database!!
