Purposefully being a troll and spoiling one of the most major events in the HP series in a thread where people who are considering reading the series. This has got to be worth a few days vacation at least. That's like spoiling the "Luke, I am your father" scene in the middle of the first Star Wars.

Please at least tell this guy not to be an ass. Vacation or not, at least a mod warning.

I honestly think that he should get a warning. If we said the Star Wars spoiler about Vader and Luke today would it matter? I didn't know as a little kid but SW had been out for nearly 20 years by then.

Edit: As much as an HP fan as I am, it's been a while since this book came out, and I think it's not as bad to talk about spoilers. However, his intentinos should be taken in account, and he definitely needs a warning.

DLeRium, I meant that assuming the reader was in the timeframe of the first Star Wars movie. Some of the posters in the thread have never read any of the books, they've only watched the movies which are POOR substitutes for what is explained in the book.

Add IAteYourMother to the list, from the same thread. They both don't need a ban (although I'd love to see them get a week off) but at least a mod warning. The series is still relatively new, especially the book they are both referencing.
