Words cannot begin to describe how utterly pissed off I'd be if some dickshit came by driving in weather he obviously doesn't know how to drive in and hit my car.

I'd be out there with a fucking rifle shooting out people's tires.

Sure you would.

Truth is that ANYONE out there was wrong. They should have stayed where they were.

While in college in Morgantown, WV I witnessed this exact scenario dozens of times. I had a balcony off my apartment that faced a very steep road that was kind of narrow and had moderate traffic. Every time there was snow we would get a case of beer and sit out there and just watch the wrecks pile up. Steep hills, slick roads, and inexperienced drivers made for lots of hilarity. We would make bets (# of drinks) on whether a car would make it or not once they turned onto the road.

I have never lived up north but just about everyone I talk to who has, and then moved down here always comments "we don't get this crap back home". So while I'm sure you do see those weather conditions your -road- conditions simply aren't anything like what we get here. Perhaps I should have clarified.

Interesting - Im glad you clarified. Its not all that uncommon for that to happen here

Figured I'd post something like this here: http://articles.latimes.com/1995-11-02/local/me-63839_1_los-angeles-county-fire

First rain (and to you that's a drizzle) in Southern California means STAY HOME! Los Angeles and San Diego basically come to a screeching stand still as hundreds of idiots crash their cars due to the oil on the roads.

No shit. It's pretty terrible up here in the Central Valley, too. I try to stay off the roads on first rain. The freeway in particular.

What amazes me MORE than the crappy driving and road conditions are that people at the top of the hill got a warning and they could see all the wrecks at the bottom, why the hell do they think its going to be different when they try? What sucks is when the roads are so icy that it sucks to even attempt to walk across. I would say that we have conditions like that here, but hills are rare in Michigan.
