Bought the Witcher, can't play it

I'm running Vista 64 and I just installed The Witcher from a Direct download site. I finally got them to send me my activation key but I can't even enter it. When I run "Launch game" from the wolf head menu, the activator pops up and I choose 'let me enter my activation code'. It will either crash (stop working) outright, or will enter my old key that I have used before and refuse the connection, THEN crash.

Has anybody had success with the Tages activator? It has been out for over a year, I would hope most of the gremlins would have been eradicated. I emailed the merchants support desk but I would like to spread the question out and maybe get help quicker. Thanks!

Works fine in Vista64 here, boxed copy of the original edition.

I can't until I activate the original unfortunately.

Get a crack and crack the damn thing. Kill/remove/trick the Tages protection, run the game with/without a CD or off of an image in the virtual drive.

Then again.. Chances are there's a problem with your system, either software or hardware wise. Try updating all drivers. Check out the game's forums. You're probably not the only one with this problem.
