Bought The Boss a new (used) car.

My wife was driving a 2007 Mercury Mariner Premier. A super nice SUV but a gas raper.
So she convinced me to get her a car.

Ended up trading for a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L in near mint condition, just was a few paint chips that I fixed easily.

Only had 40,000 miles on it. I've never owned a Honda, but took the plunge based on the rep.

It was funny the dealerships need the business so I took a chance and said I'll buy the car if you give me 12K for the Mariner and put new Tires on it.

They did it. Honda out of pocket was just over 4,000 after trade in etc. So I feel I got a good deal.

Yeah I like the very basic smooth body. Just needs some classy wheels and it'll be good.

I believe you can get a brand new accord for about 18k right now, 4 door of course.

Bluebook for Mariner was 12900.

The Honda is a 2.4, auto

As far as paint chips go I just looked inside the door and got the manufactured paint color # then bought some paint for it. Touched it up and use some sealer. Job was done. It was mainly around the doors normal stuff.

Suggest value of the car was @ 19000 I believe when I looked it up.

As far as a NEW Accord for 18K.... I don't like the new body #1 #2 I dont think an 18k Honda would have All leather , moon roof, etc although maybe, I never buy brand new.

The car inside was MINT it was a local trade in of an older lady who thankfully was very clean and didn't smoke.
