Bought some Chinese canned drinks the other day like Grass Jelly and Egg Soy drink....

And most of them have turned out to be nasty. They come in a pop-can, but the canes are thicker and heavier than a coke pop can. The Egg Soy drink really didn't taste like egg at all. The grass jelly drink was OK. The neat thing about the grass jelly drink is that there were chunks of jelly in it. I also bought a starfruit drink, which tasted really salty and bad, so I didn't even finish it. I have a few more waiting to be tried, like a straight soy drink, and a tea one....

try the Chrysanthium tea drink...that is one of the good ones....the rest were just blah. They also have like a mandarin orange juice, w/ pulp of orange inside the drink. That one is ok......

Ya most of them are acquired taste. As long as they don't taste downright awful, keep drinking it and maybe you'll like it after a few pops

soy i grew up with(one white box, one brown, the difference idunno really-yes i can tatste it, but i guess ones egg then), the tea ones i got less, i like the box drinks

You got to bring along a chinese dude prior to buying canned drinks<--expiration date nears often times. Many drinks came from different part of the world which don't got no FDA restrictions. plus you dont know what $hit may contained inside half of the time. Only buy brands name came from hong kong just to be safe. It'll keep you from any stomach disorders. trust me on this one.

The grass jelly is ok. It's kinda hard to get the remaining jelly out after the liquid is gone. I tried to pour water in to flush them out but they tasted flat with water.

I usually drink soy milk/drink in those 1QT jar. It's great when serves cold for the summer; and excellent after heating a cup up in a microwave for the winter.

But yeah, the grass jelly stuff scares me. I like the aloe vera drinks. Yes, aloe vera. Pocari sweat is ok too, but that ion stuff about it makes me wonder about it.

You mean a pearl sized straw so that you can 'suck' up the grass jelly at the same time. I had the black grass jelly drinks before... It is interesting. My friend told me it's made from "Thousand Grass". I hope it doesn't mean the same as "thousand year old egg".

Also had another type of jelly, it's clear and usually made with lemon juice. I think he calls it "Love Jade"?

Soy is good. They have a honeydew soy out now that I like a lot. I also like those jelly /bean /soy milk deserts they have out, hella good
