THUJON (or THUJONE).

Absinthes are defined by the wormwood content, the wormwood has the thujon. The fake absinthes contain southern wormwood, which has no thujon. I agree, the fake stuff is worthless, however it would give one the general idea of the taste. (Albeit a craptastic one)
 
I remember when I first tried 151. A friend put some in a shot glass for me, and gave me a chaser. I was like, "B!tch please. I don't chase."

I smelled it, and made this funny face. I knew I was about to get owned. Took the shot... gagged a little, back of the tongue burning, eyes watering... I took the sprite, and chugged it.

Then I took another shot a minute later.

Agreed. Alot of my friends picked up Absinthe and swore it was real because it had the wormwood but they failed to realize it was the crappy wood without the Thujon.

Do you have the glass with the drip spood that you use to melt the little suger cubes with??

My friend picked me up a whole Absinthe drinking set over there

Yup, I've got many glasses and serving spoons. I order so much of the green stuff that they send me that stuff for free a lot of the time.

Negative. It's a shot of half 151 and half 101. 151 + 101 = 252. I felt clever when I made up this drink at a bar one night, only to find out when I ordered it that it already existed and the bartender knew what it was.
 
seriously 151 was the first drink where I got blackout drunk on. I had ~11 shots of it over the course of the night (im thinking it was around 4-5 hours) From that night on I was in love. It has been my drink ever since. I also thought "F the chaser" at first but after the first one I needed a chaser untill my mouth went numb. After that I was golden. Since then I have tried mixing it and it just doesnt work for me. It is either straight up or not at all. A coke chaser is a must though.

have two of these before going out and you will have a fantastic time, without spending money on drinks, just buy 1 drink and nurse it till the cows come home (cuz you would of already been buzzed and any more alcohol and you get stupid hangovers and such).

Thats not 252 though because proof is the amount of ethanol in a beverage.

Im mean iguess technically you can call it 252 but really you are probably only getting 120 proof in that shot.

I mean if i took 151 and cut it with half water, the shot would be approx 75.5 proof. By cutting it with 101 you are just diluting the 151 with a lower proof

I was the same way. I usually dont need a chaser. Except with Jose Q, cause tequila is nasty.
But this stuff burned my tongue.

man was i almost crying, first shot bought by someone else when i turned 21....learned a lesson that day. free shots usually carry consequences.

I understand that mixing the two does not make them magically stronger, I am in fact not 5 years old, half of 252 + half of 101 = 126 proof . And yes technically it is a 252 because the drink is called a 252 - webtender

I mean, a sex on the beach isn't really sex on the beach, its just a fruity drink, but it's called sex on the beach.

Everclear is rough. We used to make jungle juice with it. 1-2 handles was enough for this 10-15 gallon jib we used to have and it was still strong. We cut it with WATER, Every kind of fruit juice imaginable, suger, Sherbert, Orange Juice,

Well just think not only can I drink it, I can remove fingernail polish, car paint, blood stains, bleach my hair, kill infections, run my car on it, etc..etc...
It has so many uses.
