Alright, so I haven't played the original ARMA before and with the imminent release of ARMA 2, I decided to buy it for $20 and give it a go to see what I've missed. Here's the thing, the graphical glitches are so bad that I can't get past the intro/main menu, it's just a big black box with some scrolling water at the bottom. Please help me, I can't patch it to the latest version because whenever I try to install the 1.14 patch it says that "There is no space to install this application". I recently used Partition Magic 9.0 to take my single 250gb hdd and put 4 partitions on it. 2 for XP and Vista and the other 2 for just strictly data for either operating system. I also recently upgraded up 4GB of RAM(2x2GB) mixed with my other 2GB (2x1GB) of RAM. So as you can see I've done a lot of things to my system recently and now I'm trying to get ARMA up and running...but with no success...anyone have any ideas?

how much HD space you got? it doesn't sound too good if you don't even have the space to patch the game.

More than enough, I have about 80gb left on my Vista storage partition, which is where I put steam, etc.

That's the $64,000 question. It's very confusing, I wonder if the partitioning software had some side effects like showing that there isn't enough space which is why it can't install or something...but I've got a fever and the only prescription is more FPS action!

you need a particular patch. the 4GB of RAM causes the problem. Had this problem with the demo but since there was no patch for the demo, i couldn't play it.

Resolved? I reinstalled Vista on my Vista Boot drive and ARMA seems to work flawlessly...though I still can't install the patches, but whatever.
