bought Norton Goback. Can I disable system restore now?

hey folks, I have an 80GB hard drive split into 2 partitions. System restore is running on both. I decided to get Goback because I've had problems with system restore before (installed programs not working, files not being accessible, etc).

My question is, can I turn off the resource-hogging system restore feature now? Does the Goback program do the job completely and reliably?

Opinions appreciated.
