I bought me a Creative Modem Blaster 56k V.90 External modem yesterday. Model : DE5625
I connect to my ISP, and every time it connects I get 36,000. I tried my friends ISP and it also connects at 36,000. Anyone have this same problem? Is there a solution to this problem? Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Also check modemblaster.com. Creative's phone line tech support has helped me with a few things.

Your original post was looking for the drivers...hope the link helped.

Try checking modem properties, maximum speed. Make sure it is up all the way.

Check to see if your ISP has there modems flashed to V90 already. If so then, your phone lines probably don't support 56k. Check on 2com website. Last time I was there they had a telephone testing system to see if your phoneline are compatable to 56k

36000bps is not the real speed. It's the DTE speed (how fast the modem talks to your computer). You need to find an INIT string for that Creative modem that lets Windows Dialup Networking recognize the DCE speed (how fast the modem talks to your isp).
