I got my first PC in 98 or so, it was an HP , it had a slow Celeron and Windows 98.
It was ok for a first PC .
A year later or so I started building my own.
My last built PC has been dying , its a hardware issue for sure. I am gonna
toss it though cause I am tired of working on PCs.
The fact is , I am tired of building PCs so to make a long story short I bought
an Emachines PC, Gateway bought them years ago I guess.
For the cost I could not have built this much PC.
Long story short , its sweet. I am soo happy to be done with
homebuilt PCs , for awhile at least!
Cost are down on PCs alot so its not gonna be as easy to save a bundle like it
used to be.
I heard of Emachines when they first came out and worked on a few,
they were junk for sure, IMO anyways.
I think Gateway has done something nice with Emachines, the PC I bought is very nice .
Well ok, ive had a few Dells and other desktop prebuilds for very short periods of time.
So I do have some other experience with pre-builts.
But I have not bought a desktop prebuilt to keep for the long haul since
my first in 98' , this Emachines I am keeping.
I am tired of a running bootleg OS too, with this Emachines Microsoft has finally
gotten another buck from me.
I am using Vista Premium now.
I hope this PC turns out to be good for the long term, I am gonna find out.
If not , well I guess I will have to build what I want.
