So does this mean I'm now a chump? The only reason I bought it was b/c I couldn't find a decent version on kazaa. Does that make it better? :Q j/k

I really do like the $.99 for a song thing. However, if I did this exclusively I would spend way more money than I could on music just staying up w/ the top 20.

I think the monopoly the music industry had during the 80's and early 90's was sick and I'm glad they are finally coming around to reasonable practices. I will definitely be buying more songs, especially to support the artists I like... however, I still won't buy an album of crappy songs for just one good one.

I refuse to buy a CD or DVD until new releases are $5 or less. Until they reach that price point I refuse to buy them.

Half.com is your friend for older stuff (and considering most newer stuff sucks anyways, this isn't a problem).

I considered this but my sense of decency and not wanting to be dishonest over took my greed to save a buck ;)

It was Incubus - Megalomaniac which I couldn't find a good copy of :)

Any more input?

$.99 is way too much for me. $.15 per song would be fair, and for full albums there should be a discount. $.99 for a full album, for example.

The record companies can make $0 off of me if the want to be stuborn, or they can make $10/month if they choose to be reasonable.

You have to admit that the current prices at iTunes are absurd at least, right? I can buy full REAL CDs with art and lyrics and liner notes and physical CD cases at full quality instead of a lossy AAC format for half the price apple charges for a CD on iTunes.

I agree $.99 for one song is a bit much, however, I think $7 would be fair for a full album.

Actually I can get them even cheaper ;)

BMG music, buy 1 CD get 11 free, pay only shipping. I'm not sure exactly what the shipping charges are but I am assuming they are going to be less than $5 per CD.

Walmart is going to have a similar music service to iTunes.
Singles will cost $.88.

So many of you people got greedy with snagging stuff via Kazaa/Napster/whatever-else and now some don't want to pay more than $0.15 for a song. . . cheap dummies.

$0.99 really seems fair, maybe depending on the song something like $0.75 would be reasonable as well depending on the song.

Apparently 15 for a cd is reasonable as millions of americans pay it every day.
