Bought my father a Lacie Portable Hard Drive... Good or Bad?

No matter what the general consensus here will be I don't think it will be a bad purchase as a portable hard drive was one of the things he mentioned and he's not the enthusiast oriented type. As long as it works reasonably well and stores his stuff it will be fine.

But I thought I'd ask and see what you people think of it as a portable HD. This is the one I bought, though I got the 750 GB model not the 500GB one shown:

Only USB 2.0 but for my fathers needs that should suffice.
 
Oh I'm sure it'll be fine. LaCie has been around for quite awhile. They all work pretty much the same whether you build them yourself or buy one in the box.
