How many women have you been around? I've been around enough to know that a dozen roses and a home-cooked meal is a fantastic random gift. A $200 coat sounds like a nice gift for a special occasion, but he's just trying a little too hard if he wants some bedroom time.
 
Geez, lighten up people, he bought her a coat. Big deal. I think it's thoughtful, I hope she likes it. If he gets some, he gets some. You'd think he said he was going to take ballet lessons with his GF or something. 😛
