I accidently bought a video card that only has a DVI-I port, no VGA. (dang it, it's also 64-bit) I'm personally have no experience with DVI because all I've used before was VGA. I can't return the card so I'm stuck getting a monitor with DVI or getting an adaptor. I am very confused about what do do. Here are two possible solutions I need:

1) Getting a monitor with DVI-I support. Can anyone suggest one??? I'll take any suggestions. Prefer around $190-$200.

2) Getting an DVI-VGA adaptor. I heard that the quality decreases if I use one. Any thoughts, and any suggestions where to get one/what to look for?

Links HIGHLY appreciated! Thanks!!!

I think you'd probably use up more money getting a DVI-VGA adapter + monitor than just a DVI monitor. There's also the thing about checking out whether or not the DVI means DVI-A (analog) or DVI-D (digital) or DVI-I (can handle both).

For around $190 to $200, it should be fairly easy to find a DVI 17" LCD monitor on Newegg or other online stores. Just watch out for mail-in rebates. Oh yeah, and before buying, check to see whether or not the monitor comes with a DVI cable -- some manufacturers scrimp on money by not including DVI cables with their DVI monitors, forcing you to pay extra for one.
