Bought Dell Optiplex GX200... where can I find Rambus memory?

Hahah, I got another question for you guys.

My friend just bought a Dell Optiplex with 64 RIMM ECC PC800. He wants to upgrade and buy more memory. My question is the following:

1) Does it matter if I buy another 256 RIMM "Non-ECC" "PC400"? This might sound like a stupid question, but I am not familiar with the rambus technology. In other words, can Non-ECC work with ECC and PC800 work with PC400?

afaik, you would have to turn off the ECC abilities(i could be wrong, but i think it is like regular SDRAM) and the speed would just drop down to 400's speed(whatever it may be)
this is just a guess though
