I'm getting another Gig of RAM (2x512) today so I was looking over the manual and noticed that if I use all four DIMMs I'm only going to get DDR 333. AM I SOL as far as getting 400MHz with all four DIMM slots filled? Is anyone here running a K8N Neo2 able to run four DIMM slots at DDR 400?

If I can only get DDR 333 then I guess I'm going to need two new sticks of 1GB if I want 2GB's.

You will be able to run 4 sticks @ 400Mhz, but it is most certain you will have to losen your timings.

Does it matter if the times on the new sticks aren't the exact same as the timing on the old stuff? New stuff is 2-3-3-6 and old stuff is 2-3-2-6?

Thanks,

OK, I've got the new sticks installed. I'm using the timing from the new sticks (2-3-3-6). Everything seems to be working fine. How can I test this stuff out a little? Also, how do I know for sure I'm in dual channel mode?

They are identical as far as brand (XMS) and speed (PC3200). The only difference is the timings on my original two sticks is a hair faster. I set the timings in the BIOS to the timings of the new sticks (2-3-3-6) and everything seems to be running fine.

I guess Corsair doesn't sell my orginal sticks (TWINX1024-3200LL) anymore because I couldn't find any. My new sticks are TWINX1024-3200C2.

Anyway, I'm getting ready to run Prime95 and see what happens. I ran the hell out of BF2 and 3dmark nature with no problems.

I just need to know how to check if I'm using dual channel from my desktop. When I boot up my screen says dual channel and lists my memory speed so I think I'm in dual channel.
