Bought an Apple Cinema Display!!!

Sorry, but I just had to share with some other Mac folks. I've been agonizing over buying a LED cinema display for a few weeks now. I was struggling with the $1000 price tag on the 27", but didn't love the deals I was seeing on eBay for the 24" displays.

I was getting close to caving and buying a 27", but I decided to drop by Apple's website and they had refurb 24" displays for $599 w/ free shipping. I caved.

So what do you guys think? Decent deal? I would love to have the 27" but I just couldn't stomach $400 for 3".

Its not $400 for just 3". Its $400 for the extra resolution up to 2560x1440.

24" = 1920x1200
27" = 2560x1440

I have the 27" iMac at work and its absolutely gorgeous. To me the extra is worth it. I'll probably be heading in the direction of 27" iMac & 27" Cinema come tax-time.

Its still a 'decent' price but Apple is killing on the 27" for $999. Dell's is still $1100 I believe. (Same panel, just AG coating which makes it appear 'weird' to some)

Damn you! I just came home from the mall with a 27" LED LCD in my trunk 🙂

The dell goes in and out of sales. I've seen it as at 899 before.

But the 27" cinema vs 24"... well worth the extra price for the resolution alone.

question tho: how long is the cord? the 24" is short, we had to get extensions because it was for a mac pro. and we weren't going to have that giant beast sharing the small desk space that was available.
