I bought a Samsung 4071F on Sunday for use with my PC in my room and am having an issue with it hooked up via HDMI.
When I first got it out of the box, I hooked it up via DVI (from 7900 GTO) to VGA connection. It displays at 1080p just fine and I was able to run everything without issue.
However, I wanted to try out the HDMI connection so I tested out via DVI to HDMI cable. The PC booted up fine, I ran STALKER and a few other things, and all was going well until I tried to boot up Quake 3. At first, it was giving me a "mode not supported" blue box on the LCD, and then a "weak signal" blue box on the LCD. I restarted my computer and tried again, and it could be a punkbuster issue, but it got me banned from some servers and on others I'd get into the server, sit there for 1/2 second and get kicked.
What's even more weird, is that I turned off the LCD and went afk for awhile, came back an hour later and turned it on and the blue box with "weak signal" was displaying on the LCD again. Is there a problem with the LCD or HDMI cable? Or is it a problem with my video card?
