all i can say is WOW. I put in Finding Nemo and you would swear it was HDTV. For $450 bucks it is well worth it in my opinion.

My 13 year old Sony 27incher died Friday, (third time in 5 years) and the last time to fix it it cost me $220 bucks to fix it, so it was time to get a new one. Now need to figure out what to do with the Sony, hope the trash takes it.

I have a 27" JVC from CC that I absolutely love! Whats the deal with an enhanced def tv over a high def one?

Yes i have a 70 inch wall that would be perfect for a 50inch projection, my couch and lounger are a perfect 15' away. but i bought a new camry last month and can not justify or afford spending more than 500 on a new tv.

Looks to me like the difference is an EDTV will display 480p whereas a "standard" tv will do 480i. 720p and 1080i are high-def.

I have the 32" version of that TV (TXN3245FP). Have you checked to see if you are able to enable 1080i mode on yours?

And Finding Nemo is just incredible, I agree. That was the first DVD I played on mine. The color is amazing once properly corrected.
