Ford HQ will hook you up, that's awesome :)

Those "Surveys" you speak of are HIGHLY REGARDED. A dealer will nearly give you his first daughter for a great rating on those. They encourage ANY amount of compromise before you fill out a bad rating, so just a heads-up for anyone getting a Ford, you have SUPER leverage if you bring up "Can I fill out a survey"

GG on the Edge! :D

Yup, had a 93 Ranger I bought back in 2000, my dad has it now and uses it for construction work and such....still running like a champ.

So I bought a new Truck over the weekend which I'll be using for work (2005 Ford Ranger Edge), one of the incentives being offered by Ford right now is a Home Depot package which I did not know about until the day after I bought the truck. So I call up my dealer and ask why I wasn't offered the deal, they said that they included it as a "cash rebate" to make my payments easier.....I said...WTF?....why wasn't I given the option and who said I needed you to help me make my payments easier? They wouldn't budge....I said fine....but this won't be the end of it. So I e-mail Ford Headquarters - Customer Relations and today I hear back from them letting me know I will in fact be given any of the packages I choose from the Home Depot special. I am one happy camper now since I was planning on buying new tools for my job and this means I get them for free now. That is all.

P.S.: All you Ford haters, don't bother crapping in this thread. I've owned several Ford vehicles and have never had any horror stories.

P.P.S.: The salesman at the dealer said I will be receiving a survey from Ford and asked me to PLEASE come in and fill out the sales survey at their office with the sales manager. Should I go fill it out at their office or fill it out on my own after the way they treated the situation with the rebate/incentive?

you should call the dealer back, give him a hard time, tell him you went above him and the ford headquarters has heard about it, and then add that when you get your survey, you'll rate him miserably.

if you choose not to do any of that, just go in and fill out the survey honestly. that dealer deserves to get yelled at for his actions, and those surveys often look for perfect scores -- anything less is viewed very negatively from corporate and they will "punish" the dealer for his actions.

If I decide to fill out the survey on my own and rant about their actions, do you guys/gals think there will be any retaliation from the dealer say when I decide to take in my truck for service?

What? and get corporate all over their ass AGAIN?;)

I think not. On the other hand, I would not let them near my truck again, if you are dissapointed in them already.

The truck looks a bit different than the standard Ranger. It has "style-sides" or flares around the wheel areas, sits higher with biggers wheels & tires, has fog lamps, body color bumpers instead of black bumpers, black mesh grille, 6 speaker sound system w/ cd/mp3 player, and just looks mean compared to the regular ranger.
