Bought a new Mazda 3 Hatchback, woo (more pictures)

So ive spent hours on the phone, called at least 6 dealers in this area, and have gone into two and negotiated.

Currently the best deal Ive gotten is on a Mazda 3 Hatchback (tons of included options, power, etc) with power moon roof, 6cd changer and ABS + side/curtain airbags.

MSRP: 19,135
Invoice: 18,032
myprice: 17,000

So Im at 1,032 under invoice at the moment at two places, and the third place told me they could beat anything I brought in writing. So it looks like one more day of hectic negotiating and pushing salesmen around.

Mazda's MSRP seems like a load of crap. I saw a Mazda6 yesterday that was listed at $5K under MSRP. Getting it under invoice is nicely done!

Thanks. Not really expecting to get much more down. I about made one salesman cry last night when I stopped signing the credit app halfway through when he told me we had a misunderstanding about $500 (thought I was getting it 500 cheaper but he made a mistake on the phone).

Stopped signing, talked to his manager. Manager printed out their in-store only detail sheet and showed me that they were only making $300 on the car. I told them that I wanted at least 250 lower then. They didnt like that hehe.

We played games for about 30 mins. Him telling me that the car was hot and it was lucky that the other manager agreed to this or I wouldnt even be getting it. I told him its the end of the month, quota times. He said they already met quota (yet are going this low? right..) He said the cars were really hot, I told him I checked the manufacturers date on the car door before i came back in, and it was 11/03 so it had been on the lot for 2 months probably.


Back and forth. Finally dropped a little bit. But thats where we are now ...


EDIT: Ps, when i talked to the sales guy later I found out he hadn't hit quota yet, needed a few more. Instinct was right...

I wish I could talk dealers down on my car but the Z is hard to find, so hard that I have to order one I was lucky enough to pay $1000 under MSRP

Dealing with the blue guy right now. he didnt sound happy when i told him he had to go down at least $100 more.

He went down the 100, called the other place to see if they could match that. If not then the decision is made.

Yellow just screams "LOOK AT ME!!! I'M AN ATTENTION WHORE!!!" No thanks.

Red isn't bad but I'm not crazy about that shade on that car. Blue looks the best IMHO.

yellow just workedo ut. I was leaning away from blue because its one of the most common colors for this car.
