Since the screen is on the front i imagine it has a thermal diode for case reading. Where is the best place to put on of these diodes??? I may update this as time gets closer.

UPDATE: Just got the case this afternoon. It looks awesome and i love the glossy look. I have decided now where to put in the thermal diode but now i have another question. How do you install the front fan? I see it has mounting holes for either an 80, 92, or 120mm fan upfront and i decided on 120. But i dont see how to mount the fan without taking off the front cover. If you have to, how do you take off the front bezel? I hope my MOBO fits. I looked inside and it doesn't look like their much room.. Guess i will just have to wait till this weekend. New Seasonic S-12 430 and 2 Aerocool Extreme Turbine 120mm fans are so in Friday. Dont be afraid to add some more input plz. :D

UPDATE 2: I just got in the PSU and the fans during lunch. Wow. this stuff looks nice. The PSU is so much heavier than the generic crap in my current case. And the fans look awesome, move alot of aire (they are 90CFM fans) and plenty quiet for me (coming from a case with a single 3800RPM case fan). Please read to bottom for another question.

i would put mine really close to cpu or gpu. Im getting this case and was wondering how well it cools for you? Is it easy to put parts in? Any sharp edges? Overall was it a good purchase?

very nice case choice (have one myself). i put my temp diode on the bottom of the 5.25" bay to get case temperature but i don't think it's the best place. oh well.
it is very easy to put parts in. but it takes some skill to use the screwless installation of drives. you have to be within a millimeter or so from the hole in the drive or it won't lock.
i switched out all the stock cooling for Cooler Masters (Raidmax fans are a bit loud). i am also planning on flipping the window so that the 80 mm is on the bottom so it can provide some air to the North Bridge (at least for my board). sharp edges: only the aluminum part of the door (don't scrape arm against it or you will get hurt). otherwise, it's fine. motherboard tray is pretty easy to remove and reinstall (quite a nice feature).

for now, I'm full loading at 40C on MX-1 paste for CPU (AC Freezer 64 Pro) and idling at 30C (switching to AS5 this weekend) without my Silencer (which should be here next week). I'll have all my cooling parts by next week so I'll keep you guys updated.

Have yet to get it song. As for cooling, Im switching out all the fans for Aerocool Extreme Turbos and leaving the 80mm alone for now. Also placing in a Seasonic S-12 430 PSU. (All also bought today). Cant wait to get the stuff :D

I have most of the unused cables hidden behind the 5.25" bays. The power cables that I'm actually using I tried to organize as well as possible to keep them out of view.

I am confused how you guys routed extra cables through your drive bays. Can anyone please elaborate?

Plz do hybrid. I will be tansferring next weekend and would like all the help i could get to make this run smoothly. Plus, should i replace the 80mm fan that comes with it? Im going ahead and replacing the 120's with Aerocool Extreme Turbines 2000's and wondered about the 80. I didn't replace it because i thought i saw some place say that particular one was decent. Any opinions???

No need to replace the 80 mm fan that comes with it if it's not exceptionally loud. However, I found the motor noise pretty annoying at full, so I had it down to 2000RPM or so. The 3 pin cable on that 80 mm is also very short, so be prepared to hook it up to a molex.

Sorry for being a noob. I just got this case and not sure where all the connectors go.
I have two connectors labled 'RESET SW'. One does go to that button, not sure what other is. I don't have a POWER or HDD LED connector, so figure it's one of those.
There are two other cables coming from the front, one has a power plug extension on it and the other has three wires (blue/green/black) and might be power. The smaller plug from the side fan fits in there. Where do those connect?

I had a lot of trouble getting my hard drive in the bottom bay and finally gave up. It is just too narrow to fit a 3.5" drive. Also the SATA power cable does not reach to that bay anyway.

I remember reading a tutorial about building computers a long time ago and it had a section about placing thermometers and such. They suggested that you take a small piece of thermal tape and tape the diode directly to the heatspreader on the CPU, then the thermal paste, then the heatsink. So basically you sandwich the diode between the CPU and the heatsink. That's most likely where I would put it...seems most logical.

Here is the picture of the diode being placed by the HSF with the included tape (I was wondering what the tape was for)

Here is a thread from the past on Raidmax X-1. Not a bad case, good value:

Don't know about that specific case, but most are the same. Take off both side panels. Look where the bezel meets the case. There are usually plastic tabs holding it in place. Push those ALL in and remove bezel.

Remove it slowly, especially if you've already plugged in front panel switches/leds etc.

My way of getting front bezel off: Take a flathead screw driver and pry the front bezel off the rest of the case. Done.
You must take off the bezel before installing the intake fan. Motherboard will fit but will leave no space at the bottom of the case.

Note: Do not press the front panel power button on the right side or it will get stuck. I did that and ended up poking my screw driver in there to force it out. Turn on the computer only by pressing the left half of the power button.

Got the PSU and fans in as i had said in my update. Ill do the upgrade tomorrow and furnish pics when i can. For now the question. What is the best way to connect fans to power? Both fans are 3 pin but also come with a 3pin + 4 pin adapter. I realize the 3pin is power + speed for mobos and the 4pin is just power, but when they give you a 3+4 adapter, do you connect both? Thats what i did anyways for a test. I connected the 3 pin to the 3+4 adapter. I then connected the 3 pin part to the motherboard and the 4 pin to a molex. The fan ran at full 1800RPM speed. (as guaged by Smartguardian). Is this the best way to do things? If possible, I would like the speed to be able to be monitored (in other words i would like the 3 pin to remain connected).

I have almost every case fan connected to my motherboard's 3 pin power and only the front 120 mm connected to the case's front display spinning fan monitor thing. For all of my fans, I am using 3 pins
