I just bought a used Gigabyte Z68-UD7 at a very nice price :D I'm crossing my fingers and toes it arrives in one piece :s

Just wondering if any users could give me some hints or tips on how to get the most out of this board?

This is going to be my system

i5-2500K
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD7-B3
8GB DDR3 2133mhz Gskill rip-jawsX
Cucuial M4 128GB SSD
3 X 3 TB Hitachi 7200rpm HDD
Corsair H80 cooler
Silverstone Strider Plus 600W
Fractal R3 case

How would I get the most out of the X68-UD7 with this setup?

Hmm. Update the BIOS out of the box (the shipping BIOS is rubbish for overclocks on the Gigabyte Z68 boards).

Set multiplier to 44. Use the SSD for OS? RAID 5 on the Hitachis. And return the H80 for a Thermalright Silver Arrow - hands down the best cooler on the market.

Thumbs up on the Fractal, take some pics. Just built a very similar system in an Antec P183v3 [saved money on the MB, bought i7 instead of i5]

I've heard the F3 bios (which I believed was shipping?) is far far better for achieving higher OC's than newer bioses.

Don't listen to the others about the latest BIOS. I am running the latest, F8, and it works like a charm.
