Just bought a G35 Sedan yesterday. :)

It is a 2006 (2007 model was ~4-5k more :( ). And yes, it is AT (sorry, manual is too hectic to drive in the SF Bay Area traffic) but it has that step-tronic (or whatever it is called) manual mode :p

Diamond Graphite exterior w/ Black interior. The car only had 7 miles when I picked up too (means no one had test driven it before). It had all that white plastic wrapped all over it, the seats were all wrapped up too with plastic :D

EDIT:
Price: $28,900 + TTL (for 2WD w/ Premium Package C and Splash Guards - ~4k Under Invoice :D )
The best part was that I got the color combination that I wanted at that price. This was the only dealership in the Bay area that had a black interior in stock with diamond graphite exterior. (the other dealership w/ black interior was asking ~1k more). Took ~1 week of negotiation (over email and Phone) to get this price. But after I had negotiated the price over phone, i just walked in, signed the paperwork, and walked out (no games played by dealership).

A question: Does a first-time car buyer always get charged with higher interest rate ? I am ~25, just graduated from college, doing own business (doing well), credit score of ~750 but I still got a 8.79 APR (for 60 months) from the dealership.

I took an option to find my own financing within next 7 days before that rate clicks in. Hopefully, i should find something cheaper from Wells fargo (with whom I have excellent business relationship). Worst case, I will go before 7 days expire and pay down all cash :D

PICS soon (maybe later tonight or sometime tomorrow)

yeah, but I live in Alameda, and the city streets on the main island are very small with red light and/or stop sign every other block and speed limit of 25mph all around the city :(. Also, I drive to SF city sometimes and manual is NO-NO there with tons of stop-n-go traffic.

If I still lived in Benicia (moved to Alameda 6 months ago from there), then I would have gotten the MT but I am not driving MT in the downtown traffic.

I tried the manual mode in the city this morning and it was still too hectic with constant shifting every block. I wanted at MT but i knew I would hate MT in the city driving in less than a month.

Nice purchase price you got there. The 07's are really driving them down.

Any idea how much more they would want for the coupe? My Supra's becoming something I don't want to drive daily and I'm starting to consider options. The economist in me will probably end up with a 2-3 year old Corolla (at the bottom of the depreciation rate curve), but its nice to at least look :)

You got a color combo that's usually marked up, too. Congrats.

Watch out for the cops in Alameda :p
Why not a coupe?

I go to SF a good 10 times a month doesn't seem to bother me (even on the inclines)... tho it could be because I've driven standard shift since I started driving... anyway great car... I think i'll head out to the dealerships later in the month to see if I can get something similar...

the Coupes are little more b/c they only have/had a $1k rebate from Infiniti as opposed to $2.5k rebate on sedan. for the coupe, I would aim at invoice - 2k (with lots of haggling).

Yea, the cops in Alameda are really harsh but most of them know me (advantage of having a retail business in the city itself) and I know a couple of them. I know that they have let me go through couple of times when I was speeding ;) (they saw me, waived at me, and showed lights to the person infront of me couple of times :D).

Coupe wont fit me b/c sometimes I have to carry stuff for my business and need that extra room in the back seat when everything wont fit in the trunk.

MT also wont suit me that much b/c I am on the phone a lot while driving (Business work). I cant be talking on the phone with one hand and shifting with the other while driving. Although, with Package C, i got the Built-in BT in the car....now only if it works fine and recognizes the voice commands properly :(

If you want a 06, this is the time. Most of the dealers in the SF Bay area only have ~5-10 cars left in stock and your color options are also pretty limited. No more 06s are being shipped.

07s are being sold at MSRP right now (although I had managed to take it down to Invoice + 2%.....but it was still ~4-5k over the 06)

Not to sh!t in your thread, but 2007 is so much better than 2006, it is a completely new generation with 300+ hp, push start, voice commands, paddle shifters, HD and CF card, etc, the list of improvement goes on.
Buying the last models of a generation is certainly a good deal, but I would of expected the opposite from gadget freaks on ATOT.

Yes, but the 07 was going to cost me ~5K more.
i got 280HP, intelligent key (not push start but I dont need a key to start also), limited voice command for Phone feature. The 07 was going to be over my budget :( And I purposely did NOT test drive a 07 b/c if I did, i know I would have not gone back to the 06...(have to stay within budget and limits also)

yep...But I know that I will get better rate with my Bank and/or Credit Union. I am aiming to get ~7% for 60 months and I should be happy. No way, I am going to pay them 8.79% (worst case, will use my Biz line of credit @ 7% APR :D )
