Bottom mounted PSU intake fan

Hey guys,

I'm installing my new PSU into my new case, and it's a bottom mounted, with the intake fan pulling from beneath the case, through a mesh. Since I keep my towers on the floor (albeit a wood floor), what will this do in terms of dust intake?

I'm tempted to point the intake fan into the case (basically install it upside down), as the PSU was originally intended to be a main exhaust fan in ATX format... but will this screw up air flow?

I just don't want to destroy my new psu and therefore the rest of my hardware thanks to random crap getting sucked in there, but I don't have any room on my desk to place my tower.

PSU will be fine with the fan pointing down but there will be more dust and you will want to clean it out every couple of months. Won't affect airflow much. PSUs generally pull in just enough air to keep them self's cool. Either waty won't matter so its up to you.

Any way to get the box up off the floor helps limit dust intake. I put mine on a pair of Rubbermaid foot stools. Also a piece of foam air conditioner filter will help keep the dust out, but the filter will need to be cleaned or replaced on occasion.
